This website is a purely informational site operated by Nut & Shell Games. There is no online shop, no customer account, no payment processing and no advertising tracking. Below we explain which personal data we process when you visit this website or contact us.

2. Visiting the website (server log files)

When you access the website, technically necessary data transmitted by your browser is processed: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, amount of data transferred, referrer, browser and operating system. This data is required to deliver and secure the website.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation).
  • Retention: short-term storage in log files, then automatic deletion or anonymisation.

3. Hosting and processors

The website is hosted with a service provider inside the EU or under EU standard contractual clauses. Form data (contact, newsletter) is stored in a managed database provided by our hosting and backend provider. Data processing agreements under Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all providers.

4. Contact form and email

If you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process your name, email address, subject and message in order to answer your enquiry. To prevent spam, we check technically whether a submission was automated and temporarily limit the number of submissions per IP address.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (responding to your enquiry).
  • Retention: until your enquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention periods apply.

5. Newsletter and game mailing lists

For the newsletter and game-specific mailing lists we store your email address and which game or games you signed up for. We use this data solely to inform you about news, development progress and releases.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
  • Withdrawal: you can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to mail@nutandshell.de. We will then delete your email address from the list.

6. Cookies

We do not use marketing, analytics or tracking cookies. Technically necessary browser storage (for example your language choice) is used only to provide the website.

7. Embedded videos (YouTube)

On some pages we embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited). Embedding only happens after you click the preview image ("two-click solution"). Only then is a connection to Google's servers established and your IP address transmitted. No data is sent to YouTube beforehand. Self-hosted videos on this site are delivered without any third party.

8. Sharing of data

Your data is only shared with the processors named above or where we are legally required to do so. We never sell data. Purchases of our games take place at external retailers, whose own privacy policies apply there.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Please contact mail@nutandshell.de.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

10. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here always applies.
